Topic:

Some people work harder than others. Why is this? Is this a positive or negative habit?

You should write at least 250 words.

Essay:

There are always exceptionally hard-working people who seemingly dedicate most of their lives to achieving their goals. From my perspective, these people tend to have a big dream, which encourages them to strive harder. This is an extremely positive tendency as they could learn a range of things throughout their journeys.

To begin with, individuals tend to put in efforts in proportion to the size of their goals and dreams. This is because small goals can be achieved easily, while big goals cannot. Those craving to succeed tend to be aware that they must double or even triple the efforts of commoners to gain satisfying results for them. To give you an example, a boy aspiring to be a professional football player practices soccer six days a week. Otherwise, he knows he would end up merely a good player if he practices only a couple of days a week. Therefore, having a big dream motivates people to work harder.

Concerning the outcome of hard work, it is beneficial as these types of people tend to learn through a range of demanding experiences. To achieve a big dream, individuals must discipline themselves, manage a team, endure criticism from others, etc. These experiences are apt to shape their personalities into mature and sophisticated ones. To illustrate this, a genius but shy engineer aiming to incorporate a drone manufacturing company has to manage hundreds of colleagues. This experience could be torturous in the short term, but he would appreciate it in the future by realizing the importance of soft skills, which are essential in one’s life. Hence, various personal improvements can be expected when people commit to achieving their goals.

To summarize, those who work hard tend to have big dreams and are aware that moderate efforts cannot be sufficient. I believe this mindset is beneficial as they can learn a lot in the process.

今回のエッセイはWhy is this? Is this a positive or negative habit?とハードワークの理由とその是非が問われていますの、ボディパラグラフ①で理由を、ボディパラグラフ②でハードワークに賛成の理由を主張していきます。

Strive
