Some people believe that one-on-one lessons are better for learning while others think that group lessons are superior. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

It is my opinion that one-on-one lessons have greater chances of maximizing one’s potential, while others argue that group lessons are more beneficial. This essay presents arguments on both sides, but leans in favor of my initial statement.
Looking first at the case supporting one-on-one lessons; private tutors state that students benefit more from tailored lessons than standardized group lessons. This is particularly true for those who are talented and dream big. They are glad to engage in difficult challenges, which the majority of people find too daunting, and push themselves to the limits. For example, Son Heung-min, one of the best football strikers in the premier league, practiced football with his father in his childhood. Although he was not allowed to join a soccer club until fifteen years old, the draconian training with his father enabled him to develop unrivalled skills for scoring goals.
Turning to the other side of the argument; many sociable students point out that learning with their friends is the key to continued learning. The learning process is fraught with frustrating moments and, this discourages them from achieving their goals. However, when students realize that their companions are also facing the same challenges, they tend to provide moral supports to each other, and this prevents them from dropping out. Indeed, according to surveys taken in intensive English courses in Japan, many students reported that the primary reason they could dedicate most of their free time to studying was the existence of their friends and the shared commitment to achieving their goals.
To summarize, the choice is fundamentally between focusing on developing individual abilities versus greater persistence rates. I believe realizing one’s potential is one of the greatest things in life, and espouse one-on-one lessons.
